Tea tree is well known for its anti fungal abilities and has been used to clear up fungal infections such as athletes foot. However, insufficient studies have been done on the use of tea tree for candida for this to be recommended. I would speak to your physician or pharmacist for further advice. Some people have a sensitivity to tea tree oil when applied topically and it can cause rashes. Tea tree oil should never be swallowed.

This article interested me as I had a very unsightly and itchy rash from candida. Besides the ways you suggest to treat it, my naturopath also gave me a probiotic cream to put on it which dried it up quite quickly. We had been addressing the internal yeast problem for a month or longer when this appeared and this seemed to remedy the problem quite quickly.
